Title: Two-Foot Contours 2009, Dane County (WI)
Abstract:
The Bare Earth DTM was developed from LAS points and breaklines collected from a LiDAR flight flown in the Spring and Fall of 2009, as part of the Fly Dane 2009-2010 Project. The DTM is used to develop a TIN (Triangulated Irregular Network). Two-foot contours meeting National Map Accuracy Standards were generated from the TIN.

    The data set is derived from a DTM that meets National Map Accuracy Standards for the scale 1:1,200. The horizontal accuracy is +/- 3 feet for well defined points, at a ninety percent confidence level. (Fly Dane Accuracy Report, Ayres Associates).

    This data set is a derivative of a DTM. A National Standard for Spatial Data Accuracy (NSSDA) vertical statistical analysis was conducted on the DTM. Test results were X.XX feet vertical accuracy at a 95% confidence level, indicating that contours from this mapping scale will meet National Map Accuracy Standards.
